Join us Sundays from 10:30 - 11:30 am
Followed by Coffee Hour!
Worship embraces noticeably more than meets the eye. Worship evokes a feeling or expression of reverence and adoration for God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The overpowering love of Jesus permeates the congregation. Congregants express a deeply rooted, authentic, intergenerational love of Jesus, family and community. They reveal a passion for Norfolk County and it’s people, as demonstrated through historical treasures, culture, stability, and faithful stewardship.
We are a God-centered, body of Christ that serves others through prayerful decision making, and a willingness to grow and change as led by the Holy Spirit.
We, at St. Paul’s, are blessed to enjoy the musical talents God has bestowed on our Organist / Choir Director, Ian Madge, and the weekly anthems provided by our Choir.
The powerful vocal blend of our choristers enhance our Worship Service and denote accolades from our congregation and visitors.
Choir members enjoy a sense of camaraderie, fun and fellowship as they learn and perform sacred music and relish social interludes together.
We welcome all youth grades 6 - 12
Sundays from 10:45 - 11:30 am
*NOTE: Youth are 'In-Service' the first Sunday of the month.
The goal of our Youth Ministry is to ENGAGE teens with practical demonstrations of God's love, to NURTURE their experience in God's Word, to encourage them to CHERISH God and extend COMPASSION in love and SERVICE to others.
The Children and Worship program helps children, 3 - 11 years old [grade 5], experience and learn about God; it is based on the philosophy of Maria Montessori who has revolutionized children's education--a unique and innovative way to worship with children. The children experience God through singing, a Bible story, prayer and responsive sharing--in a way that is meaningful to them, as individuals.
The Stories
The religious language of biblical stories, parables and liturgy are translated into beautiful concrete materials--a desert box created to model biblical desert stories.
Congregate woodworkers, sewers and artists have lovingly created the story materials. Children and adults are drawn into the stories in an experiential construct.
Nursery
A nursery program is available for infants and toddlers up to 3 years of age.
Call if you are in need of Pastoral Care
Historical biographies of ministers of the Eastern and Western church testify to a litany of variations of pastoral care. Despite variations, a core interest of pastoral care emerges--personal welfare of individuals who are hurt, troubled, alienated or struggling with intrinsic confusion and identity issues.
Modern Christianity attempts to employ insights of psychology and psychiatry in the development of pastoral counselling in response to the rise in present-day anxieties.
Pastoral care, however, inherently attempts to respond to the totality of human needs throughout the ages, in accordance with the words of Jesus,
"I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me." ~Matthew 25:35-36
